No More Bets Please—A New Video

Monkey See Productions in conjunction with the Sydney Hope Street Project and Living Solutions has recently released a new education video on problem gambling. We are letting people know about it because we believe it is a great accompaniment to our own Video Less than Even—the hidden costs of gambling, which will be distributed shortly.

No More Bets Please- gives a unique insight into the lives of four people affected by problem gambling including partners. Participants discuss strategies which have helped them in their recovery and the benefits of counselling. There are good oversights of the particular nuances of games of chance, such a card playing and poker machines and the common myths which attract people to these forms of betting.

No More Bets Please in conjunction with the Less than Even video would provide those looking to fully cover the range of issues, from community impacts through to individual interventions, with two great Australian resources— a must for your library.

Less the Even: the hidden costs of gambling is produced & distributed by the Gambling Impact Society (NSW). As this production was CCBF funded there is currently no charge although we are encouraging membership/donation, to support us in our work.
